With what limited time, resources, and knowledge they had to create this short, it should not be taken as an exact representation of how a death notification happens. It was a project where multiple short films were presented at the university and this was one of them. For those of you who have either served or have knowledge of proper death notification procedures - please understand they had to work with what they had. It wasn't a group of military veterans who knew the exact Marine uniform regulations, it was also shot on a zero dollar budget and done in a very short amount of time.
