A talk by award-winning international journalist Claudia Smith Brinson, author of *Stories of Struggle: The Clash over Civil Rights in South Carolina*, a pioneering study for which she interviewed over 150 Black activists. Ms. Brinson's presentation details the 1969 Charleston hospital strike & its crucial role in the Civil Rights Movement, and accompanies the "Justice for All: South Carolina and the American Civil Rights Movement" traveling exhibit on display at Southern Georgetown Library until December 15.
