In today’s video, Serene demonstrates how to properly do the fire hydrant exercise. This is a great exercise for isolating your glutes that you can progress over time. Try this out and let us know in the comments how you like it!
Setup 0:30
- Rest on hands and knees
- Knees below your hips
- Hands below your shoulders
- Slightly bring your knees closer together
- Can help keep your tail from hyperextension
Exercise 0:43
- Flex your right foot
- Keep back neutral
- Kick leg out level with your hips
- Exhale up
- Inhale back
- Squeeze your glute at the top
- Be careful not to over rotate hips and spine
