How to collect the blood sample using Phlebotic Assistant (PA) Device?

Step 1 Please read the instructions once you have received the test. Collect your sample in the morning. Return your sample on the same day.

Step 2 To collect your sample, use the alcohol swab provided, clean your finger and allow it to dry. Place your finger under the vibrating plate of the PA device and support it with your thumb and secure the device. Place your hand down by your side for at least two minutes with the device vibrating. Prepare the lancet, place to the left or right of the rounded end of your finger, and press down. Wipe away the first drop of blood.

Step 3 Massage your hand and lower finger to encourage blood flow in the blood collection tube. Once the tube is filled, apply the supplied adhesive bandage to your finger.

Step 4 Complete your data on the biohazard bag, and send the sample back on the same day.

In the case of an abnormal result, you will receive a phone call from our nursing support team. You can check your results online, or on your laptop/smartphone.
