If you have ever been on an airplane, you have probably experienced it: you are sitting quietly in your airplane seat, and at a few kilometers altitude the cabin suddenly starts to shake: turbulence. That can be quite scary. Sometimes just your cup of tea will shake back and forth a little, but in some cases it is so strong that you fall a few meters down, including the plane. But is that dangerous? Aviation expert Nikki van Luijk (TU Delft) explains in this video that you don't have to worry about anything. At least, as long as you have your seat belt fastened...
