Self sabotage is easy to do but less easy to spot.

Too often, we put it down to back luck or circumstances beyond our control.

After all, we want to succeed. So why would be sabotage that process?

There are probably a few tell-tale signs that you’re sabotaging your success.

Maybe you’re always late for things for no apparent reason.

Maybe your procrastination dial has been turned up to its maximum level so that instead of starting something that would benefit you, you’re always finding excuses to start it “soon” but soon never actually arrives.

Maybe you find excuses as to why you can’t start or join something, even though you know deep down that it would be one of the best things you could do.

Those are relatively obvious signs that you’re sabotaging yourself.

But there are also lots of smaller signs that could let you know your behavior isn’t helping you.

For instance, you could be constantly admitting things are your fault when they’re nothing of the sort. Because it’s easier to take the blame.

Or you could just be bored and letting that boredom take over your life, even though there are plenty of things you could be doing to keep you occupied.

Maybe everything around you is cluttered and disorganised. OK, I’m with you on desks being cluttered and I subscribe to the maxim that a tidy desk is the sign of a sick mind. But that doesn’t excuse the piles of stuff being so high you can barely see your screen or move your mouse.

All this means that there are lots of signals around that you could be sabotaging yourself and your success.

The good news is that it’s actually quite easy to turn self sabotage around. And you’ve taken the first step by giving the idea credence.

The next step is to do something about it.

You can’t easily stop sabotaging yourself by using your conscious mind, otherwise you’d have done that already.

So you need to take steps to change your subconscious mind – the part of you that controls almost all of you.

At the moment, your subconscious thinks it’s protecting you and keeping you out of harms way.

And whilst that might be true, it’s not your desired way of being protected because it’s stopping you from doing things that would help you succeed in whatever it is you’re trying to succeed in.

The good news is that by giving your subconscious mind a set of affirmations to listen to – ideally at the subconscious level so that it knows it’s being talked to but your conscious mind doesn’t notice.

And you can do that by playing yourself a subliminal messages track that’s implanted with all the right suggestions to stop you sabotaging yourself at every turn.
