In this video we have to get a hitch or trailer receiver on the bubble eye Silverado. It is almost mowing time for Kohen and this is the truck he will be using to haul the mower. When we bought this truck it had a ball on the bumper and the bumper was sagging a lot. It didn't seem safe to me and I wanted to find a factory drop hitch to install. Of course my ocd takes over and I wanted to clean up a few things at the same time. First we got the bumper adjusted so it was square. You have to loosen several of the bolts and I used a jack to hold it up while I retightened them. Next I tried to use a hitch we bought for the dually but they will not work. You have to have a hitch for a 1/2 ton or 1500 Silverado. While doing all this I also removed a bumper sticker with my heat gun, Replaced the broken license plate light housings and installed new LED license plate bulbs. I replaced the license plate screws with ones that were not rusty and have nice caps or covers. Since the bumper had a ball the stock plastic had a huge hole in it. It was also all beat up and I replaced the bumper pad with a new Gm Plastic. The bumper looks way better and will at least be safe for Kohen to use as his mowing hauler.
