As a part of the e-Tau project to develop a new automated solution for industrial laser welding, Prodtex were responsible for delivering digital manufacturing solutions to support the project.

In this video we demonstrate how we used the 3DExperience platform to develop a parametric kinematic model of Cognibotics sigma tau PKM which we could quickly adjust to experiment with different configurations of the modular PKM robot.

This allowed us to quickly identify the optimum configuration virtually and to perform numerous other activity's throughout the project such as planning for maintenance operations, off line programming and virtual commissioning.
