Hello and welcome.
In this video I'll show you how I made this Roger Rabbit animation cel from scratch. It's an odd shape, since the background was used as a panning shot, and it's size made it a bit awkward to work with. I used a different technique than my previous cels to create the line work. I normally draw that on by hand with a technical pen, but this time I decided to try something new. First I tried screen printing the line work on the glass, but I couldn't find an ink that worked well. I ended up using a vinyl cutter to cut an airbrush stencil. This works surprisingly well and will probably be how I do all my cels going forward.
