From the Playhouse Video VHS tape (hi-fi stereo), which is the best option that seems to exist apart from a rare Japanese laserdisc. Protection was very aggressive on this tape and there is a good deal of strobing in bright scenes (like this one), but it's definitely better than nothing for this lost scene! Captions are imported from the tape, complete with misspellings.

The entire section starting at 1:46 is famously just missing from DVD editions, although Peter Blais remains in the credits. "Julius Caesar Rat" and his soliloquy are in the original poem, so it's anyone's guess as to why it was cut from rereleases of the episode. Too bizarre?

Also included is the opening of the tape, and the original opening of the episode (0:17): note the Gaylord, Platypus/Lionsgate, and FTT cards which differ in later releases (including, usually, a stupid zoom effect), and at 1:30 the writing credit, which here says written by, but on DVD says teleplay by and has been rerendered with a mismatched drop shadow effect. Why?

The indicated promo at the end of the tape is not here (but could be put up); it is almost identical to the one at the start of the Goldilocks tape, minus writing and directing credits inserted in various clips, and closed captioned.
