This DIY ultra sensitive ground listening probe makes finding water leaks, water lines, or sewer pipes that aren't buried too deep in the ground an easy task. Works really great up to 12" deep, but you can also detect deeper under very quiet conditions. Store bought listening probes with this level of sensitivity would easily cost several hundred dollars.
