You know a character has reached an iconic level when you can see their outline and recognize them. Consider the Mickey Mouse ears. The outline of that cartoon character is unmistakable. The same goes for Homer Simpson.

The man became an icon. The Simpsons as a whole are one of the most recognizable cartoon characters to ever be created. Anywhere they appear they become instantly recognized. Not to mention they were even so popular that they got their own movie in 2007.

Over the course of 32 years, Matt Groening and his crew all worked tirelessly to build this distinguished show. No show runs like The Simpsons. At the center of all the prestige lies Homer Simpson. The donut loving, all nonsense father of a family that could do better without him. This video will set out to breakdown everything worth talking about his character.

Homer is easily understood by every fan, but not enough time has been taken to dig deep into his character.
