A few weeks ago I was browsing eBay when I found this extremely rare Irish "Jouef Cie" locomotive for sale. I ended up winning the auction and received it in the mail a few weeks later but I figured it would be more fitting to unbox it on St Patricks day.

After taking it out of the box it was clear this locomotive was in need of some work. I did my best to overhaul the locomotive, cleaning several different parts, doing some rewiring and adding a new interior light.

The motor turned out to be in great shape which was a saving grace, it runs pretty well considering it only has three windings.
