Have you been looking for a way that will help to start playing more melodic solos, and give you more beautiful melody every time? Then this is the lesson you need. Without some kind of melody method for applying scales on the neck it will take longer than it should to start to perform melodically. Everyone can play a scale, but to play a beautiful melody requires a specific approach - no matter what level of ability you have right now.

The key to effective melody is making sure you apply the scale tones with a unique neck layout that promotes limited use of the notes. In this lesson we’ll study a four ‘scale zone’ routine that allows for the notes of a scale to sit on the neck in a way that promotes range of motion giving you better melody.

This method is the fastest way to build better melody. If you want quick results then this is the method you’re going to want to make sure you prioritize. I call it “Scale Zones” and it’s a simple dynamic way to establish notes on the neck in multiple positions. These active note groups help accentuate the scale across positions to increase range of motion and allow for greater options of sound.

In the second half of the lesson, triads will be introduced to help expand the scale zone concept out to the use of triad harmony. This triad idea will help to establish more melodic riffs and provide better options for rhythm parts.
