I always wanted to own a Formlabs SLA printer but they are usually going for around 3-5K $ so I was even more excited when I saw one for just under $200 including shipping on eBay.

More about SLS Printers:
Other than regular FDM printers SLS printers use a photosensitive resin which hardens when it comes in contact with UV light.

In the case of the Form 1 this is accomplished through a UV laser which is redirected by galvanometers which are tiny mirrors spun by a motor that way the printer draws any shape layer for layer until the print is complete the resin sits in the resin vat in which the build platform is lowered with only a small amount of resin between these two when the UV laser hits the resin it hardens after each layer has been drawn the pealing process begins where the resin vat lowers slightly on one side causing the hardened resin to separate from the anti-stick layer of the vat. this ani stick layer is made either of PDMS or a FEP film.
