Our favorite Disney Channel shows were almost completely different. From name changes like Alexis Texas instead of Hannah Montana to completely different stars like JoJo instead of Miley Cyrus, some of the iconic shows we grew up with could have gone in a whole other direction. And if it wasn’t for stars like Zendaya and Debby Ryan who were producing Disney shows when they were just teenagers, classics like “KC Undercover” and “Jessie” would have been about totally different things.

There are also tons of Disney stars who almost got different roles in the shows they went on to star in. Like “Liv and Maddie’s” Dove Cameron, who never even auditioned to play either of the twins! Or what about “That’s So Raven’s” Raven-Symoné, who first auditioned to play Chelsea? And you’ll never believe the role Joe Jonas almost got in one of our favorite Disney shows-- here’s a little hint, he would have starred alongside Selena Gomez.

From Ashley Tisdale almost losing out on playing Maddie in “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” to the show that was almost named “The Amazing O’Malley’s”, these original Disney Channel ideas would’ve really changed our childhood as we know it. Some of them-- like “JONAS” almost being about teenage spies-- might have even spiced things up a little. But we’ll let you be the judge on that.
