Shot and fatally wounded during a chase through a toy store, serial killer Charles Lee Ray’s final act was to implement voodoo magic to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll, bringing the doll to life, and containing his spirit within.

As the living doll, Chucky is capable of hiding in plain sight – using stealth and nimble agility as a means of dispatching his victims. His most sinister of skills is the ability to harness voodoo incantations, which he can leverage for soul transferring, and to manipulate voodoo dolls. He is also invulnerable to immediate physical harm, with the total dismemberment and destruction of his doll body being the only effective means of stopping him.

The longer Charles Lee Ray’s soul remains in the doll, the more he begins to regress into a fragile human form – being susceptible to bleeding and sustaining injury. Ultimately, at risk of being trapped in the body of the doll forever.
