How To Make ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE with Creamy White Sauce RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
2 bundles or 2 pounds of cleaned fresh asparagus with ends cut
3 Tbsp. butter
2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup finely diced onion
2 large cloves minced garlic
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup grated extra sharp white cheddar cheese

Topping:
1/2 cup crushed butter crackers - Ritz
1 Tbsp. melted butter
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Place fresh asparagus in baking dish.
Pour white sauce evenly over asparagus leaving ends revealed.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Add crumb topping and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until
asparagus is tender.
Put under low broiler for 30 seconds to slightly brown.

Serve and enjoy.

2 - 16oz bags of frozen peas - thawed to room temp
1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon
6 oz. finely cubed cheddar cheese
3/4 cup finely diced red onion

Sauce:
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. kosher or sea salt
1/2 tsp. white or black pepper
1 tsp. dried dill weed
*Mix together well.

In a large bowl combine ingredients and sauce. Mix well and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
