Geometric Phrasing Lesson 2

In this short lesson we are expanding the Geometric Phrase exercise from Lesson 1
Which was posted Sunday October 1st, 2023.

Today, we are still playing paradiddles, RLRR-LRLL as we played in the previous lesson but now, we are expanding to a four-bar phrase. Two measures of 16th notes = 4 paradiddles per measure, plus two measures of sextuplets = 6 paradiddles per measure.

After I play the exercises, I will break down slowly how to play the triple feel paradiddles.
This way you can practice along with me and give it a try!

This is a great exercise. The 12 positions as I mentioned before is inspired by what my teachers Alan Dawson and Gary Chaffee showed me regarding movement and orchestration.
