I explain the one main reason why your camera gear and photography equipment matters. And, no, it's got nothing to do with resolution, or stabilization or burst rates or global shutters.

It's down to inspiration. Some cameras simply make you feel more creative and excited just by using them. My Canon R5 is an amazing camera but it's boring and I've found myself increasingly looking towards my much older, less accomplished cameras. Meanwhile, I'm also looking towards cameras like the Hasselblad X2d which doesn't offer video skills but instead goes big on pristine image quality.

It's a very talk-y video today and I'd genuinely be interested in hearing feedback from other photographers on whether you think I'm at all correct in any of the nonsense I've been spouting here.
