The Dalhousie Faculty of Architecture and Planning, in collaboration with The Clean Foundation and The HalifACT Team, hosted a Climate Engagement Series that brought together experts, industry professionals, and interested members of the public to discuss ways to build climate-responsive communities while decarbonizing the economy.

Each session asked participants to consider how we live, work, play, learn, and move in our communities. Topics addressed included: ways to lower our carbon footprint, create preparedness for clean energy solutions, lead active transportation initiatives, guide coastal adaptation, and protect our natural resources.

Session two, The Human Element of Climate - How We Change, examined how individuals think, feel, and understand risk, resiliency, and agency as they relate to living safely in a changing climate. The speaker's panel reflected on how human responses are filtered through personal experience, security, privilege, and a sense of place in our communities.
