Psalm 46:1

This is SHOFAR in rehearsal in July 2019. This arrangement by SHOFAR includes the classic hymn, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” God is our refuge, God is our strength!

This group began in 2014. The word, “Shofar,” stands for the Hebrew word for trumpet. They are sounding the trumpet that Jesus the Christ will return soon. SHOFAR has various missions—to children’s homes, to schools, where they give talks, visits to Thika Prison, Kiambu Prison, distribute care items to the prisoners, and sometimes do counseling. As of 11 July 2019, there were 86 active members in the group and about 115 members worldwide. The leadership team of 16 members decides who will sing. The age range of the members is 18-35. They rehearse twice a week.

Nairobi Central SDA Church,
Kasarani Indoor Arena,
Kenya National Theatre,
and in other countries including Botswana in southern Africa, Zambia in south central Africa, and Zimbabwe in southeastern Africa.
