This exercise teaches how to activate your triceps to provide increased stability and muscular balance around your shoulder joint. The triceps is an often neglected muscle in the posterior chain of the shoulder that is critical to insure proper biomechanics. Therefore, you may be surprised that it may be difficult to find and activate. Once you "wake it up" with this exercise I suggest you move on to doing Book Opener and Closing the Book and then see if you can find it with Stir the Pot. While this is a gentle, entry level exercise, don't hesitate to contact your healthcare provider If you are having pain. Good luck!!
