Your credit score is broken down into multiple categories and your credit score uses points that range from 300 to 850 points. I'll go over each of the categories using the VantageScore 3.0 model (most lenders prefer to use this currently). Each category holds different weight, so it's important to know what can help or hurt your credit score the most. I'll cover your payment history, credit history, credit usage, total balances, credit checks and available balance.
