This is the reality of renovating an old log house with a budget. Constant dust, constant problem solving and constant little panic of if buying this place was the biggest mistake of my life. So this is the true unembellished story of a renovation lifestyle. :D

One end of our log frame is now almost completely rebuilt with log replacements and right now we are demolishing all of our fireplaces. We have been contemplating on what to do with them since last spring when the structural problems were exposed. After asking around, it seemed that there is no short cut. They may collapse in a few years and fixing them is impossible, so they need to come down.

On a lighter note, we have really enjoyed living in this new village we moved into a couple of months ago. Our current home village is closer to the renovation site, which makes the commute a little easier. But my favorite thing is the surroundings, this village is so beautiful. It's a huge privilege to now get to walk out the front door and almost straight into a forest. The forest walks have given me so many peaceful moments and I can't stop admiring the beauty of the snow covered landscape. So in the end of the video there is a little poem for the magical full moon forest that I so deeply love.

And until I finish writing this long ass text, big THANK YOU to anyone watching my videos! I spent about 9-10 hours only troubleshooting this particular video so that I could get it exported without glitching. After I finally figured it out and got it uploaded, I felt that I'd deserve to be knighted! :D Needless to say, I do these videos cause I absolutely love to create them and self taught and challenge myself, but seeing that someone actually watches these just boggles me every time.
