After owning this ice green metallic 76S for about 8 months, I've decided to auction it on Bring A Trailer (Auction Link: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/197...)

Background On The Car:

When I first bought the car last year I was convinced that it would be my "forever 911." I had seen the car at rallies and other events on the east coast and had always been completely taken with it...but it was never for sale when I saw it.

When I learned it was available for purchase the fall of last year, I decided to jump on it even though I wasn't really in the market.

This 76 "middie" (termed a "Gentleman's Hot Rod" by the previous owner) is a gorgeous example of a narrow body 911 in mesmerizing ice green metallic paint. The car has a strong 3.2 motor that mates nicely with the lighter weight chassis and the cork interior plays so well with the green paint. I also love it because the mid year 911's bring forward some of the cool features of the early 911's such as the narrow bodies and the rear pop out windows.

However, after having to spend over $15,000 in surprise deferred maintenance, repairs and a few mods, I have lost most of my enthusiasm for the car. At this stage, I have invested far more into the car than I had originally hoped and so at this point I am ready to move it along to the next owner.

In addition to that, my interest has shifted to the modern, water cooled 911's and Caymans, so I've decided to pass this 76S on to the next owner.

In this video, I take viewers along for a ride in the 76S with a friend of mine and my Bring A Trailer auction manager. You'll get a good sense and feel for what this car is capable of and will hopefully get a true-to-life understanding of the joy of ripping curves in this "Gentleman's Hot Rod."
