We're going to be checking out the West Colfax, Villa Park and Sun Valley neighborhoods for this video. This is my 5th video on Denver within a longer series, so make sure to check out my Denver playlist to see more of what the city is currently going through. It's no secret anymore that Denver has one of the highest rates of homelessness out of all major cities in the United States. That being said, the poverty is heavily concentrated in this trio of west side neighborhoods. Sure, you can find poverty elsewhere in the city, but these three neighborhoods have the highest rate of poverty throughout the Mile High City. Despite the fact that over one quarter of the residents live under the poverty line in these neighborhoods, luxury condos have been getting developed in West Colfax at a rapid rate.
