In a "print farm" arrangement, many small 3D printers run in parallel to make either separate or identical 3D printed parts all at once. Because the build time of each individual job is likely to be multiple hours, an autonomous mobile collaborative robot is potentially a fitting automation solution. By traveling throughout the facility to each 3D printer finishing a job, the mobile robot can unload parts and load new build trays for many machines, with one such robot potentially serving scores of machines in this way. Robot integrator Branch Robotics illustrated this at Formnext, in a demo relying on software from Print&Go that manages and coordinates not only 3D printers but also related equipment such as automation.
