Our Tesla Model Y is our go to car for road trips, and day to day driving. This workhorse vehicle has over 60k miles on it now, and although there have been some incidents along the way, it has never let me down. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about other people on the roads.

While staying the night at a hotel on the way home from a road trip to Texas, someone backed into our Model Y in the parking lot overnight and of course didn't leave any note. Unfortunately I have a bad habit of not leaving sentry mode on when staying at hotels, and this is just another lesson learned. That said, I am left with what seems to be pretty annoying damage to the front of our Tesla Model Y.

The good news is that I DIY PPF all of my cars, meaning my Tesla's have a layer of protection that acts as a sacrificial barrier to protect the paint. As much as we are on the highway, this PPF has been a lifesaver many times. This time, it turns out our Model Y front bumper will not need any repairs after all! This is at least the 3rd time PPF has saved my paint and continues to pay for itself.
