Ketogenic diet means restricting the carbohydrate intake in the diet and couing less than 15 grams of carbohydrate per day. Why is it keto? If you are on a Ketogenic diet, it is better to ensure to take vitamin supplements and dietary supplements so that your body doesn’t go into nutritional deficiencies. We should not go for Ketogenic diet? If you have sever grade of insulin resistance, do not go for Ketogenic diet unless advised by your endocrinologist. If you are having thyroid issues or having hypothyroidism then Ketogenic diet can be very dangerous for you. If you are suffering from any kind of kidney disorders where the kidneys are not able to filter out the blood properly or if you having any kidney related disease, the you should not go on for a Ketogenic diet. Make sure that you are doing it in the ethical way and not doing Ketogenic diet in the crash way. If you are not doing it for permanently and just to rave up your metabolism, and help your body to shed the initial weight so that you can manage it with other diet, which is a good blend of diet which includes healthy carbohydrates as well, that is quite good also remember that if you are doing Ketogenic diet check your blood and urine regularly to get the level of ketones in your urine and if you have high levels, it means it is causing quite a lot of damage inside the body. So do make sure that whoever is advising you for the Ketogenic diet is completely aware of the do’s and don’ts and known how to manage that phase of your life where you will be going really low on your carbs and calories
