Primal is a great example of the strength inherent in Sound Design. as there's absolutely no dialogue. It carries the emotional weight of the show. Sound Design can often be an after thought when it comes to constructing a story. There's a wonderful opportunity to reinforce emotions and the impact moments can have by underscoring it with the right audio.

Genndy Tartakovsky is a master at using sound design. When he is storyboarding, he sets the tone and pace of his work utilising his own vocalisations, which helps the crew understand exactly what his intentions of the project will be. From there, the work is elevated. This explores how they achieved that.
