The Einscan H combines led and infrared to enable full color scanning making it great for scanning people and even hair, something that just about every 3D scanner struggles with. The H is highly accurate as well boasting resolutions of 0.25mm, up to 0.05mm for scanned data, and up to 0.1mm/m for volumetric accuracy. Scanning is quick and efficient with up to 1,200,000 points/s, and with a large scan OFV of 420 x 440mm meaning scanning of most objects takes only minutes. The design is compact and ergonomic, making it easy to transport on location.. On top of all this the H comes with a built-in color camera which means it supports full color texture capturing and tracking by texture.

The Einscan HX combines blue led and lasers, enabling a wider array of "scannable" objects, most notably the scanner has little to no issues when scanning dark or highly reflective objects which are notoriously difficult for pattern based 3D scanners like the Pro HD. The HX is highly accurate as well boasting a minimum point distance 0.05 mm and accuracy up to 0.04 mm under Laser Scan. Scanning is quick and efficient with up to 1,200,000 points/s, and multiple blue laser lines under Laser Scan Mode making scanning of most objects take only minutes for reverse engineering, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, etc. The design is compact and ergonomic, making it easily transportable with the included hard shell protection case. On top of all this the HX comes with a built-in color camera which means it supports full color texture capturing and tracking by texture.

The Einscan Pro HD 3D Scanner is Shining 3D’s latest addition to their lineup of scanning solutions. Building upon the Pro 2X Plus which we reviewed last year, the Pro HD edition improves upon what was already one of our favorite scanners on the market. This year’s upgrades mainly focus on upgrading the scanning resolution and improving its ability to render more complex objects. The handheld scanning mode is improved through a new light projection model that gives it the stripe pattern scanning which was traditionally used in Fixed Scan Mode and makes it available for handheld scanning. This greatly improves resolution when scanning free handed for larger objects bringing them closer to the resolution and quality seen in the fixed scan modes. The new projection module combined with an updated software algorithm means the EinScan Pro HD is capable of scanning a wider range of objects of dark or black color and casting metal surface, enriching the capability for 3D scanning of materials. Other new features include faster scanning speed and data processing up to 3,000,000 points per second under handheld scan mode, and less than 0.5s for every single frame in Fixed Scan Mode. USB 3.0 provides high speed data transmission.

The Einscan SP is a desktop professional structured light based 3D scanner from Shining3D designed to make professional level 3D scanning more accessible. The turntable makes scanning an almost 1 click operation with an easy to use setup and calibration process to get you up and running quickly. We’ll have more videos soon covering the tips and techniques when using your Einscan SP

Metrology and reverse engineering are made easy with 3D scanners with use cases across the board. These scanners are highly accurate and easy to use, making them perfect for anyone wanting to verify dimensional accuracy in certain cases or to easily reverse engineer and recreate objects when a 3D model simply isn't available.
