Three of the most popular kings of the Marvel universe are Black Panther, Namor, and Doctor Doom. With Wakanda Forever focussing on a battle of two kingdoms, could Doctor Doom somehow be involved? Could this be his MCU debut?

Hey everyone Colton here and welcome ComicsAlliance. We’ve got some very interesting news today regarding the role of Doctor Victor Von Doom in Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

Now prior to the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, Wakanda Forever was likely going to feature the King of Wakanda, T’Challa, the Black Panther vs the mutant King of Atlantis, Namor the Submariner.

Actually I think in the MCU they’re saying he’s the King of Talocan..? It’s annoying but whatever it doesn’t really matter.

Point being, T’Challa and Namor both rule kingdoms on earth. T’Challa being a hero king and Namor being an anti hero King. So it’s make sense that perhaps we’d have a villain king come into play.

That’s right, king of Latveria, Dr. Doom.

Dr. Doom has had run ins with both Kings Namor and T’Chala in the comics before. And according to the report from the Hollywood reporter, the door is wide open for Dr. Doom to make his MCU debut.

While the T'Challa character is unfortunately being killed off due to the real life passing of Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda Forever will still about a battle of two kingdoms.

The Hollywood reporter however doesn’t typically release these types of articles. Hollywood Reporter is more of a scoops and breaking news type of site. I’ve been reading their site for years and this just isn’t the type of stuff they usually put out. So… this has me wondering what they know that we don’t.

What information have they received, remember sites like theirs and variety are constantly in the know. And usually if some movie news leaks and they aren’t reporting on it, then it’s probably not true.

I think that Hollywood reporter may feel comfortable putting out this article because they have reliable sources whispering in their ear that Doom will be appearing in Wakanda Forever and may be the films true villain.

Afterall, the actor who plays Namor clarified in an interview that Namor is not a villain, he’s an anti hero.

My theory is that Namor and Wakanda are being played against one another. I think there is someone pulling the strings, someone behind the curtain if you will, someone who has something to gain by triggering a conflict between these two nations.

Doctor Doom is brilliant and strikes me as someone who would have a work smarter not harder mentality. Someone who would be smart enough and maniacal enough to orchestrate a war that could benefit him greatly without getting his hands dirty in the public eye.

Doom could take on a Palpatine role in the MCU as he plays everyone against each other with the ultimate goal of making his way to the top as everyone else destroys one another.

I think that Dr. Doom wants, you guessed it, Vibranium. And I think that he is manipulating and using the people of Atlantis, I mean Talocan. I think Doom is using and exploiting the people of Talocan to destroy Wakanda and and leave the Vibranium for the taking.

And perhaps at this point in the MCU, Doom's kingdom of Latveria does not yet exist. Perhaps his plan is to build his kingdom on top of what was once known as Wakanda. Remember, under Wakanda is where you’ll find the largest vibranium reserve on the planet.

In the Doom War comics Dr Doom sought out vibranium knowing that if he could infuse himself with it he would become virtually unstoppable.

Now look, Dr. Doom being in Wakanda Forever isn;t anything new, people have been theorizing this for quite some time. But when you have a site like Hollywood Reporter putting out a speculatory piece like this so close to the release of the movie, that really increases the chances of it being true.

My theory is that come the third act of Wakanda Forever, Namor and his people will be fighting alongside the New Black Panther and her kingdom against the real threat. The threat they discover has been playing them against each other all along.

I think Namor is will definitely go on to become one of the heroes of the MCU and likely play a big role in Avengers Kang Dynasty and maybe even Secret Wars.

Now Wakanda Forever is the final project of the MCU’s Phase 4. And I think it’s going to be big. And The Fantastic 4 is the 2nd project of the MCU’s Phase 6. So I think it’s possible in fact even likely that we’ll be seeing the character enter the MCU, SOON.
