►Your engine won't work properly without a healthy ignition system. In a sport sedan like the S6, keeping up with scheduled maintenance is imperative for maximum performance, and replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs will help ensure that power doesn't disappear. When coils or plugs are worn, their ability to transmit the proper spark to the combustion chamber is hampered to the point where engine power and fuel economy are noticeably reduced. There can also be a rough idle and a misfire under hard acceleration.

Servicing the Audi's ignition system is relatively straightforward. The 4.2L V8 gives good access to the plugs and coils, so you won't have to struggle just to reach them. Parts are also relatively inexpensive and simple to replace. Just grab your favorite ratchet and go to work.
