Jillian Poles is a graduate student at NYU Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, pursuing a PhD in Immunology & Inflammation and Cell Biology. With a focus on the immunopathophysiology and treatment of diseases, she works under Dr. Ann Marie Schmidt in the Diabetes Research Program. Her approach combines in vitro and in vivo methods, including mouse models. Jillian holds a Master's in Exercise Physiology from UNC Chapel Hill and a BS from the University of Miami. Her background as a personal trainer enriches her scientific research, blending her understanding of physiology with a practical perspective on health and wellness.
