There's so many camping fridge setups in the backs of 4WD's these days. It's deciding which way to go, as i'm looking to change my camping fridge setup in the back of my 4WD.
For the past 18 years, i have used my trusty Engel fridge / freezer as just a fridge. As thats the only choice i have with this current camping fridge setup. It's either a fridge or a freezer, i cant have both options at the same time.
So, for me to have a fridge and a freezer and run them both at the same time.
Im looking at two options for a camping fridge setup when i go on longer trips away.
First option is to keep my current chest fridge which is 45 litres and buy a smaller slim line 15 litre chest fridge / freezer and run that as just a freezer.
That option would then give me a total of 60 litres of fridge / freezer space.

The second option is to buy the very popular upright fridge in a 65 litre capacity. The freezer space is only small, around seven litres.
Plus items can fall out when the fridge door is opened.
Pro's and con's for both of these camping fridge setups.

Which way have you guys gone with your camping fridge setup ?
