Featured is the rapid chess game between Fabiano Caruana and Alireza Firouzja from the 2023 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz event. Firouzja plays a near perfect game with the black, opting for the Berlin Defense in the Ruy Lopez. The engine suggestion for Caruana is to play a same sides castles position. Instead, we observe an opposite sides castles game where Caruana’s h3 pawn acts as a quick target for Firouzja to pry open a file. Alireza Firouzja played this 25|10 rapid game with a remarkable accuracy of 99%.
