In this MCU video essay, I'm discussing the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the pitiful spiral of Marvel's empire. The MCU is dead. I go over the reasons why the MCU is failing and give some suggestions on how to fix it, even though it's safe to say that Marvel's best days are behind them.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the biggest and most popular franchises in the world, but it's failing because of a strict adherence to "The Plan," with little room for creativity and character. From overworked VFX artists, to a lack of director input in projects such as Nia DaCosta's The Marvels, an unwillingness to reboot the X-Men and prioritize the Fantastic Four, to the cameo mess that is the Multiverse, the MCU is in shambles and there's no one else to blame but Kevin Feige himself. lnstead of using the Multiverse to explore endless possibilities that are largely solo films, Kevin Feige and the Marvel brain trust have only used it in the cheapest and laziest way possible. A lot of people say that the mcu phase 4 sucks, the mcu phase 5 sucks, the mcu is a disaster, and it's easy to understand why...because it is. In this video, I discuss the reasons why the MCU is failing and how Marvel is an empire in ruins.
