An entirely new engine was developed for the F430, a 4.3 litre V8 producing 483 hp.

It has 4 valves per cylinder instead of the five there were in the 360 but it produces way more torque – 343lb ft compared with 275lb ft of old and it will rev to 8600rpm. All that grunt will get you from a standstill to 60 of 3.6 seconds.

Performance, practicality (sort of) and usability wrapped in a Pininfarina design, what more can you ask for?
