The Ford Mustang is one of the most notable muscle cars ever, dating all the way back to the 1960's and lasting all the way up to today as the last V8 muscle car produced by one of the big 3. Since its early days, several aftermarket manufacturers and tuners have upgraded Mustangs to push them even further than the original specs. The most notable of these companies being Shelby, with their modifications dating back to the 1st generation Mustang with the GT350 and GT500. The Super Snake first seen in the late 2000's-early 2010s was an upgrade package that pushed the Mustang over 200mph.

The GT500 Super Snake appears in NFS Hot Pursuit as a Tier 3 Supercar. Like its Tier 2 counterpart, the car is dominant in a straight line with strong acceleration and decent nitro power and speed. The car is also fairly durable, making it a strong car for pursuits. The only downside of the car is its handling: the car can easily oversteer if you aren't careful and the oversteer on the Super Snake is violent (you can hear the ground shaking under the tires when you corner). But this is only a weakness if you make it one because oversteer makes the car easier to control (IMO).
