In the latest episode of "Das Dingsda im Museum", 12-year-old Cedra is stunned by this colourful, glittering underwater world of the huge textile artwork entitled "Unearthed - Abyss", which is even bigger than her dad Felix.

He too is fascinated by large tapestry with its extraordinary details by Nigerian artist Otobong Nkanga.

The artwork gives him the feeling of an attracting depth and a floating feeling of freedom he usually only experiences when diving on holiday.

For Cedra, the artwork seems more like a fairy tale that tells of a mermaid whose paper roll turns divers to stone.

Find out more about this and other exciting works of the Fondation Beyeler's collection and experience a playful-creative museum visit with the museum game to the series "Das Dingsda im Museum".

Borrow the game free of charge at the museum shop. “Das Dingsda im Museum”, which promotes exchange and discussion about art between generations, is produced in cooperation with our partner BLKB.
