I recently visited Qing Lotus Spa to get what I thought would be a nice, normal, relaxing foot massage but I had earlier gotten some fire cupping where I was told that I have “internal body dampness” in Chinese medicine and so the spa’s resident kung fu master attempted to fix what he diagnosed as underlying issues with my liver and spleen via what turned into a very intense full-body massage. None of this is FDA approved and do not rely on this for medical advice so make of it what you will but it was a very interesting experience nonetheless.
