Pheasant backs or dryads saddle are one of the best eating wild mushrooms around! A mild and versatile mushroom that can go in any meal, or just eaten by themselves! Ramps are delicious wild leeks, they taste like garlic, shallots and scallions all in one veggie! Both of these are great sautéed or boiled, or baked in many foods.

For all you survival folks out there, next time you’re foraging in the woods, see if you can find some, they are very easy to identify! Guitar Slinger approved!
