On a very windy day on the interstate, my Hehr rear bath window vent blew off while driving. This is the type of double pane window vent that opens a few inches at the bottom. Apparently, the adhesive connecting the operator (open & close knob) to the glass pane failed, the window started flapping violently (I assume) and ripped off the top hinge. Because we were traveling and the window had to be custom ordered, it would probably be months to get a replacement, so I wanted a temporary fix that would last. This video shows how I built a robust temporary window out of plexiglass and a few pieces of hardwood.
