As an Entrance Hymn into the sanctuary at Saint Agnes Anglican Church, Kaunda Square, Lusaka, Zambia 31 May 2020:

(Let Your living Water flow over my soul,
Let your Holy Spirit come and take control,
Of every situation that has troubled my mind,
All my cares and burdens on to you I roll.
Father, oh my Father, Father.
Heavenly Father, oh my Father, Father)

Give your life to Jesus, let Him fill your soul,
Let Him take you in His arms and make you whole,
As you give your life to Him, He'll set you free,
You will live and reign with Him eternally.
Jesus, oh my Jesus, Jesus.
Thank you Jesus
Jesus, oh my Jesus, Jesus

Come now Holy Spirit, and take control,
Hold me in your loving arms and make me whole,
Wipe away all doubt and fear and take my pride,
Draw me to your love and keep me by your side.
Spirit, oh my Spirit, Spirit.
Holy Spirit, Spirit, oh my Spirit, Spirit

Let your living Water flow over my soul
Let your Holy Spirit come and take control,
Of every situation that has trou-bled my mind,
All my cares and burdens onto you I roll.
Father, oh my Father, Father
Thank you Jesus, Jesus, oh my Jesus, Jesus
Holy Spirit, Spirit, oh my Spirit, Spirit

[with Lay Minister/Deacon]
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen
The Lord be with you
And also with you
Praise the Lord….
Blessed be God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
Blessed be His Name now and forever

Pastor John Watson (the composer) was born to missionary parents on a mission station in Southern Rhodesia in 1944. He presently lives in Great Britain.

“I wrote from beginning to end 'Let Your Living Water Flow Over My Soul', never thinking that God would use it to bless 75 nations. I believe this is my most anointed song. And then the songs just started coming, one by one. And the phone started ringing from all over the place -churches that were hungry to be taught to worship. We became so well known that finally a friend of mine who ran WEA records in Johannesburg, South Africa encouraged me to record the songs and, being inspired by Vineyard, I called the worship team Vinesong." (Pastor John Watson, the year 1982).

The thing that establishes Pastor John Watson and Vinesong Ministries as being so unique on the world stage, is that they are a team of ministers, dedicated to the proclamation of the gospel and the building of the Church in line with biblical teaching. They are not a group of musicians desiring to entertain and win awards amongst the Christian community. Vinesong have always taken their commission directly from the Book of Isaiah 61:1-3 which reads,

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendour.”

In 1998, Vinesong was the first Christian music ministry to perform at the United Nations in New York. Pastor Watson said, "We've been there 6 times altogether and when God opens a door no man can shut it. We were the first Christian music ministry to ever minister in the building. So, it was rather daunting and then we got used to it, going back each time. Since then (prior to 2007) we've had 16 diplomats and ambassadors give their lives to Jesus and a hundred converts on staff. There are 3,000 people who work in the building and they now have a Bible study in the basement."

Pastor Watson said that a near franchising mentality in the Christian music industry has even crept into the realm of revival as churches across the world try to re-enact movements such as the 1994 Toronto Blessing and the 1995 Brownsville Revival: "Unfortunately we learnt the term franchise from America. But I believe what God does is indigenous and this is why we can't stereotype and contain the Holy Spirit. He's free, He's liquid, He's like the wind, He's like water and He's like fire. And the moment you label and contain Him I think he puts an end to it. Because arrogance and pride step in and the manufacturing of man, franchising this and that, starts to demean God and put him at our level. But God is supernatural."
