Fr. Thomas explains how the transformative experience is fed by our desire and longing to become Christ. We carry this into the spiritual journey where we deal with our energy centers of security, affection, control, over-identification with one’s group, and afflictive emotions. The human condition will always be there, but there will also be the divine indwelling and healing of the wounds of a lifetime, moving us in confidence into the infinite mercy of God.
