Yik Yak is a relaunched social media app for connecting people within a 5-mile radius via a message board.
Yik Yak was around a few years ago and shut down in 2017 and relaunched in 2021.

Yik Yak app describes itself as "a local Message board for your community".

Unlike most social media apps, Yik Yak is completely anonymous. You don't have to create a username. Simply speak your mind and people will see it on the message board.

Each post can be voted up or voted down and the posts with the most votes show up on top of the app.

You can also comment, share and engage with posts on the home page.
