More About This Video

The 2013 Porsche Boxster is quite possible the best car I've ever driven. In this video, we'll breakdown why the used 2013 Porsche Boxster is the greatest used sports car for sale today with our Porsche Boxster overview. Here's some more information you'll need to know if you're looking at buying a 2013 Porsche Boxster.

Let's start off with the driving experience. There's really nothing quite like the evenly distributed mid-engine Porsche Boxster. In fact, the mid-engine layout is the main reason that I think the Boxster and Cayman are much more fun to drive than the 911. While the 911 may be a more powerful vehicle, I think the Porsche Boxster's lack of power is what makes it stand out so much from the crow. While it's certainly not the fastest vehicle in Porsche's lineup, it's the most fun to drive. The 2013 Porsche Boxster's 2.7L flat 6 engine can be tamed, where as the 911 has so much more power that it's actually less fun to drive around mountain roads.

If you're looking for a vehicle with straight-line speed and great handing, the Porsche 911 is the one for you. If you're looking to thrash the vehicle around backroads and tight bendy mountain roads, the Boxster is the way to go. Personally, I prefer the mid-engine layout of the Boxster for the handing. There's nothing quite like having a mid-engine flat 6 behind you with the roof down. The experience is like no other, and that's why I think the 2013 Porsche Boxster is ultimately the best used Porsche for sale if you're looking for value.

On top of that, the 2013 Porsche Boxster is the BEST looking Boxster model Porsche has ever built. I'm not a fan of the new looks on the 718 with the daytime running lamps. The four dots look quite a bit lazier than most other models, and the older headlight design looks much more simplistic and modern. While the 718 has a prettier rear end, the front of the 718 kills it for me. The 718 also has the 4 cylinder turbo, which, while it may be faster, doesn't give you the thrill of the flat 6 engine in the previous generation Porsche Boxster.

The interior of the 2013 Porsche Boxster is also another beautiful part of the car. While the outside of the 2013 Porsche Boxster is one of the most beautifully designed sports cars, the interior is where you'll want to spend most of your time. I've never been in a sports car that felt more well put together with fine materials and quality trim. Even though the 2013 Porsche Boxster was the base model Porsche at the time, the overall experience of the interior makes the car feel like it's closer to $100,000 in value instead of $50,000. The Porsche Boxster's interior is unmatched by the competition of the BMW 4 Series. The interior of the BMW 4 Series comes nowhere near the interior of the 2013 Porsche Boxster.

One of my favorite features of the 2013 Porsche Boxster is actually one that has been on Porsche models for years - the rear spoiler controls. I LOVE being able to control the height of the rear spoiler in the vehicle, and seeing it rise in the rear view mirror is quite possibly one of the coolest parts of any car ever. This little feature alone is worth the price of the Porsche Boxster, and if you're looking for a vehicle with character, the 2013 Porsche Boxster is the one you need.
