Build a pocket sized stove out of just soda cans! It's cheap, easy and extremely handy! The DIY Jet Stove uses rubbing alcohol as fuel. It's a fun and educational project that you can bring with you in travelling or camping.

WHAT YOU NEED:
- Two Empty Soda Cans
- Multitool/ Swiss Army Knife (http://bit.ly/2T6legM)
- 1.0mm Sewing Needle
- Superglue

HOW IT WORKS:
- The stove operates by a jet cycle process. Once the walls of the can stove are heated, the liquid fuel inside starts to evaporate. The evaporated fuel exits the holes and mixes with air. The mixtures ignites, creating the stove's flames. The flame heats up the can's walls and the process repeats itself to create a self sustaining ignition process until the fuel runs out.

HOW TO USE:
- Fill the stove with 20-30mL of fuel.
- Cover the fuel inlet with a penny.
- Pour fuel on/ around the stove and set it on fire.
- Repeat the process until the flames appear.
- Heating the can's side with a lighter also helps.

FUEL:
- The fuel choice greatly affects the start-up ignition process. The stove operates with and volatile liquid fuel with lower boiling points.
- RUBBING ALCOHOL, being the most common household item, works with this stove just fine. It isn't the best, but it does the job! Using this as fuel takes a longer time for the stove to ignite and start working
- DENATURED ALCOHOL, is the perfect choice for this stove, it evaporates quickly to its purity. Unlike rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol doesn't contain a mix of water and moisturizers.
- ACETONE, KEROSENE, LIGHTER FLUID also works. But I wouldn't recommend these since they are too volatile and can be dangerous around kids.
