This generation of Riviera is very near and dear to me, because a gleaming 1985 model was my second car, and carried me through some very debaucherous years. Apparently the rest of America loved it to, because it was the most successful Riviera model made, and handily outsold its sister cars, the Eldorado and Toronado. While it was the first front wheel drive Riv, and in fact, the first front drive Buick - the good looks of the car made it a very easy sell.
